Benefits of silver

Properties of Silver Rings: Silver is known in Islam as a means of enhancing positive energies and mental peace. Silver can help with mental and spiritual peace due to its spiritual and energizing properties.

The Prophet (PBUH) and the infallibles also used silver and considered the use of other metals, especially iron, as adornment to be abominable. The Commander of the Faithful (PBUH) says: “Do not wear anything other than a silver ring. The Messenger of God (PBUH) said: A hand that has an iron ring on it is not pure.” One day, the Prophet (PBUH) saw a man who had an iron ring on his finger. So the Prophet (PBUH) said to him: “This ring is the adornment of the people of Hell. Remove this from yourself.” The man took out the ring and said: “O Messenger of God! Should I not wear another ring on my hand?” The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Why not? Very well, if you want, get a silver ring and it does not have to weigh more than one mithqal.” Regarding the prohibition against wearing iron rings, the Commander of the Faithful Ali (PBUH) says: “Do not put iron rings on the hands of your children!” Other hadiths also prohibit adornment with brass and copper items.

Among the hadiths about the properties of silver in Islam, we can mention a hadith from Imam Sadiq (AS) who says: “Silver is a medicine that cures every disease and pain, and whoever acquires it will be safe from any calamity or problem.” Also, other hadiths state that using silver as jewelry and ornaments makes a person beautiful and attractive and has positive effects on the mind and spirit. Also, silver is known as one of the metals that is resistant to pollution and infections and can act as a natural disinfectant.
